Mourant has elected Jersey-based private client lawyer Jonathan Speck (pictured) as Senior Partner, succeeding Robert Shepherd, who retired from the partnership at the end of January.
Jonathan, a private client specialist, will continue to manage his practice in tandem with the new role, which is for a four-year term.
His work involves both high-value and complex contentious and non-contentious trust cases in Jersey and beyond.
Jonathan has been a Partner with Mourant since 1996. He served as Managing Partner of the Jersey Office and President of the Law Society of Jersey between 2014 and 2017.
He is also an elected academician of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law.
