Locate Guernsey will announce the results of its first year of activity at a presentation at St James on 25 January.
The initiative was set up to encourage entrepreneurs, established businesses and individuals to relocate to Guernsey. The objective was to generate additional revenue for the island through house sales, taxation and local spending along with the creation of jobs.
During 2016, Locate Guernsey attended many promotional events in the UK and Europe, including its own in London in October, which attracted intermediaries, advisers and potential relocators.
Head of Locate Guernsey Richard Le Tocq said: “We have had an encouraging starting year, which we will report in detail at our presentation. Our work is an ongoing process with some long lead times, and with a team of five promoting the island as a relocation destination, we are confident 2017 will bring further success.”
Locate Guernsey reports to the Committee for Economic Development and is funded by the Policy and Resources Department.
• The presentation will be held on 25 January from 7:45 to 9:15. Anybody wishing to attend can register here
