Financial services provider JTC has appointed Dean Blackburn to the role of Chief Commercial Officer. Dean takes over from Tony Whitney, who has retired after 23 years with the group.
Dean brings to the role more than 30 years’ international experience, with an extensive career in financial services in the UK, Channel Islands, Asia, South Africa and the UAE.
He joined JTC 18 months ago from HSBC, where he worked for 15 years. In his final role at the bank, Dean led the growth of its global high-net-worth expatriate wealth management business, as well as its Channel Islands and Isle of Man retail banking and wealth management business.
As Chief Commercial Officer, Dean will work with JTC’s Institutional Client Services and Private Client Services divisions. He will be responsible for the growth of the group’s treasury and banking services, as well as expanding the commercial internal audit function and overseeing the group development function.
In addition, Dean is an ordinary member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute, a member of the London Institute for Banking and Finance, a professional member of the International Compliance Association and a member of the Institute of Directors.
