The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) has today received intelligence regarding local companies allegedly being subjected to cyber ‘impersonation attacks’, resulting in substantial financial losses.
In a statement, the Commission said: "We believe that this is not an isolated incident and that cyber criminals are impersonating individuals from within their own firms.
"We are not able to share further information at this time, but we are asking local companies and islanders to be extra vigilant.
"If you believe your firm has been compromised, you must contact your JFSC supervision team immediately and report this to the States of Jersey police."
