Viberts Jersey Lawyers have announced three new promotions within the firm.
Giles Baxter has been made a partner of the firm, Claire Kingham a Senior Associate and Andrew Morris an Associate.
Zoe Blomfield, Managing Partner, commented “We are delighted to be able to announce three promotions from within the firm, all of which are richly deserved. We pride ourselves on developing our people and it is extremely satisfying when our staff can be recognised like this”.
Giles, promoted to Partner is a Jersey Advocate and was named Junior Lawyer of the year by the Law Society of Jersey in 2014. Giles joined the firm in 2004 and is a Jersey Advocate and an English Solicitor. He is a key member of the corporate and commercial team, advising a broad range of clients within the commercial arena, both in relation to disputes as well as advisory and transactional work.”
Claire, promoted to Senior Associate, is an English Solicitor and is the Manager of the firm’s Personal Law Department. She has worked for the firm for over 12 years. Claire has a wealth of experience in dealing both contentious and non-contentions employment law issues and has represented a significant number of clients at the Jersey Employment Tribunal and has been involved in several landmark decisions. She also specialises in advising on inheritance disputes and has significant experience in this area. Claire has been listed as an Associate to watch in Chambers Europe for her employment law work.
Andrew promoted to Associate joined Viberts in 2011 from the Leading London Family Team at Mishcon De Reya. He is a qualified English Solicitor with extensive experience in all aspects of family law with a particular emphasis on complex financial matters, including overseas assets, arising from the breakdown of relationships.
