Jason Laity_JerseyFinance_sep20Jason Laity has been appointed Chairman of Jersey Finance. He takes over from Gunther Thumann, who has chaired the organisation since 2017.

Having worked for more than 30 years in international financial services, notably as Chairman and Senior Partner of KPMG in the Channel Islands until September 2019, Jason has significant board and partnership-level experience.

A former Chairman of the Jersey branch of the Institute of Directors and Governor of Victoria College, Jason sits on the Audit & Risk Advisory Panel for the Childrens’ Commissioner for Jersey.

He is also a Senior Independent Director, and Chair of the Remuneration Committee and Audit and Risk Committee of Andium Homes.

In his most recent role, as Head of Fintech for Digital Jersey, Jason was responsible for spearheading the fintech agenda for Jersey. He will relinquish that position before taking up his new role in December.

Jersey Finance CEO Joe Moynihan commented: “To have someone of Jason’s calibre as our new Chair is fantastic news for us.

"Jason has a formidable understanding of the local finance industry and the wider business environment internationally. All of this will be invaluable as we continue to position Jersey as a leading IFC on the global stage."
