SaraDrake_ICSA CEOICSA: The Governance Institute’s annual conference in Jersey is this year addressing the theme of ‘Building Board Resilience’.

Taking place at the Royal Yacht Hotel on 2 May, the conference will focus on the importance of creating effective boards that are fit for the future and will ensure Jersey retains its place on the global stage as a champion of good governance.

Robert le Corre, Chair of ICSA’s Jersey Branch, commented: “Jersey’s business activities are under constant scrutiny, and it is important that effective boards are in place to ensure Jersey upholds the high standards of governance that have been set as the benchmark for best practice.

“This year’s conference will address important areas of focus around director integrity and competence, board evaluation and board dynamics, as well as covering business-critical issues such as emerging technologies, financial crime and ensuring that directors get the right information."

Alongside speakers from the Jersey Financial Services Commission, Bailiwick Consulting, Bedell Cristin, Board Intelligence, iCompli and ICSA, delegates will have an opportunity to meet incoming ICSA Chief Executive Sara Drake (pictured), who is due to take over from outgoing chief executive Simon Osborne at the start of July.
