SueFox_HSBCHSBC has named Sue Fox as its new Chief Executive Officer in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. The appointment will be effective from 1 February 2019, subject to regulatory and other approvals.

Sue is currently CEO of M&S Bank, which is part of the HSBC Group, and she has been with HSBC for more than 30 years.

Since joining M&S Bank in 2014, Sue has led the business through the launch of its first mainstream current account and its first mortgage range.

Prior to this, she held a number of senior positions within HSBC, including Global Head of Physical Distribution. She has worked in the UK and overseas, including managing the HSBC branch network in Manhattan, New York.

Sue commented: “I’m delighted to be joining HSBC’s business in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. We have the opportunity to further grow HSBC’s propositions and use our global banking network to benefit the islands’ customers. Equally important to me is fostering an inclusive and positive workplace.”

In addition to her role at M&S Bank, Sue is an independent Non-Executive Director with Scottish Power.

She succeeds Tracy Garrad at HSBC, who has decided to pursue a career opportunity outside the bank.
