Guernsey Finance is holding an update on China – The Year of the Dog: Time to bark about support & success in mainland China – on Thursday 6 September.
HSBC's Director of China and RMB Internationalisation, Sue Anne Tay, has been confirmed as a guest speaker at the event, which will take place at The Old Government House Hotel, St Peter Port.
Her presentation will cover trends and drivers shaping China’s outbound direct investment, as well as progress of the Belt and Road Initiative and how corporates, services and financial institutions can capitalise on it.
Also speaking is Charles Scott, Managing Director of Guernsey-based insurance manager Alternative Risk Management, which was last year involved in the setting up of the first Chinese commercial reinsurance company in Guernsey, Brilliant Reinsurance (Guernsey).
Guernsey Finance will provide a market update, while representatives Wendy Weng (China) and Dorothy Kwok (Asia Pacific) will discuss the latest activities and achievements in their regions.
