Guernsey Finance, the island’s offshore finance promotional agency, has announced the promotion of Kate Clouston to the position of Deputy Chief Executive.
Since starting with Guernsey Finance in 2015 as the agency’s first Director of International Business Development, Kate has been responsible for leading business delegations and promotional activity in South East Asia, North America and Europe.
Her work has focused on evaluating and developing these target markets by implementing development strategies around emerging financial products, and attracting new companies or business to Guernsey.
Over the past two years Kate has spent almost 200 days on the road, leading targeted business delegations to countries including Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Amsterdam, New York, Miami, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Malaysia, and the UK.
Earlier in her career Kate was a Programme Head for the Royal United Services Institute, the British thinktank engaged in defence and security research, as well as a Media Analyst for Edelman StrategyOne, and a Senior Researcher at the House of Commons.
