KPMG Channel Islands' Jersey office continues to invest in its staff, with several recent promotions, exam successes and the recruitment of six new trainees.
Seven promotions have been made across KPMG's specialist areas with the appointment of Kerry Emblem as tax senior manager, Ben Hewitt as tax manager, Matthew Christensen as advisory manager, Caroline Johnstone, Dino Vicente and Hugh Williams each as audit manager and Shaun Farley as audit associate manager.
Each of the newly-appointed managers will take on more complex and diverse client portfolios and responsibilities in overseeing projects along with increasing responsibility for career development of staff.
Seven students have also progressed to assistant manager and senior tax consultant levels following the successful completion of their ACA qualifications through the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales).
KPMG's HR executive director, Debbie Smith said: “These promotions are a testament to what can be achieved through hard work and it is great to be able to recognise the dedication of our staff.”
The firm has also taken on six new recruits, within its audit and tax departments. Christopher Van Neste joins the firm after completing his A-levels while Edward Muhlemann, Emily Curtis, James Murray, Nika Nykyforova and Harry Malet De Carteret each join the firm after graduating from University.
“The new trainees will now embark on their professional qualifications and hopefully go on to have very successful careers. We provide excellent professional development advice and opportunities for graduates and school leavers and expect our newest recruits will go on to see similar success to those we have recently promoted.”
