Global fintech firm relocates HQ to St Helier

Posted: 11/01/2019

Zurich-based global fintech company SharesInside is to relocate its headquarters to St Helier to take advantage of access to the UK market, a better business environment and improved quality of life for staff.

Co-founder Dave Hannam said the company, which is being assisted in its relocation by Digital Jersey, plans to recruit marketing, sales and administration professionals from the island to boost its team. He said the expanded team will help the firm meet demand for its services and develop its offering.

Founded in 2016, SharesInside has already has offices in Singapore, Russia, Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Chile. The company gathers and standardises investor relations websites into a single format and source, giving investors and analysts free access to information about companies via their smartphones.

According to Hannam, SharesInside’s offering is based on two fundamentals: investors should not have to pay for accurate information, and they should have an easy and trustworthy place to access that information, unaltered by third parties.
