EY launches fintech survey

Posted: 22/06/2017

EY has launched a survey to gauge the attitudes of Channel Islands businesses towards fintech and related technology solutions, and how the financial services sector is responding to the disruptors.

According to the EY FinTech Adoption Index, 15.5 per cent of digitally active consumers have used at least two fintech products within the past six months, with adoption rates set to significantly increase as awareness of the products and services available grows.

The survey will discover if Channel Islands businesses have implemented, or are considering implementing, fintech or related technology solutions and what level of understanding they have of the solutions available.

It will also highlight what businesses consider to be the key drivers for, and barriers to, the implementation of fintech solutions.

Ove Svejstrup, EY’s Assurance Executive Director, said: “The advance in technology solutions means today’s consumers have greater choice and expect more than ever. It will be interesting to see how the fintech market is perceived in the Channel Islands and what opportunities are available for businesses to implement solutions.”

A report of the findings from the survey will be released later this year. The survey can be completed by clicking here
