Four members of staff have recently been promoted at KPMG in the Channel Islands.

Abbie Guillou has advanced from audit associate manager to audit manager, and James Cowens, Ilze Nartisa and Lara Forsyth have each become audit associate managers.

Miss Guillou joined the firm as a school leaver in 2006, and qualified as an accountant through ACCA in 2010. Becoming an associate manager the following year, she was able to develop and demonstrate her managerial skills and work on a diverse client portfolio.

Her new role will further challenge these skills, while also helping to advance her technical knowledge and providing her with the opportunity to manage and coach other staff.

Mr Cowens, Miss Nartisa and Miss Forsyth are all qualified accountants who have progressed with the firm from assistant managers.

All three are looking forward to their new, more demanding roles where they will be managing multiple audit engagements while delivering high levels of quality service and building strong relationships with clients.

These promotions reflect the firm's dedication to training and professional development and KPMG congratulates the success of these staff members.

KPMG's HR executive director, Debbie Smith said: “We offer a very high calibre of professional training and put a strong emphasis on helping our employees advance in their careers and ensuring they continually improve.

“We provide excellent professional development advice and opportunities for graduates and school leavers and it is great that the competency of these particular individuals has been recognised.”
