Professional services provider Equiom has opened a new office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), operating as Equiom (Isle of Man) Limited (DIFC Branch).
The opening builds on the organisation’s growing presence in the Middle East – this is the firm's fourth office in the United Arab Emirates.
Equiom made its first entry into the UAE with the acquisition of corporate services provider Links Group, which has offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, in September 2016. In November 2018, Equiom acquired HOLT, a compliance and risk management service provider located in the DIFC.
The new DIFC office is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority and will promote trust and fiduciary services for clients including high-net-worth individuals, family offices and corporations.
It will be led by Gary Hales (pictured), Head of Equiom Fiduciary - Middle East, who is also acting as Senior Executive Officer.
Gary's career also includes four and a half years as Business Development Director with Jersey Finance and, more recently, Head of Business Development and Marketing for BVI Finance in the British Virgin Islands.
