The Channel Islands Information Security Forum (CIISF) is holding its first lunchtime seminar of the year – Cyber security considerations during mergers and acquisitions – on 12 February at the Digital Jersey Hub, Saint Helier.
The event examines the challenge of cyber security in the normal operation of an organisation, where change is generally progressive and planned.
Mergers, acquisitions and de-mergers present challenges across the business, often at short notice for service divisions, including the information security and data protection teams. The event looks at how to deal with these challenges, and what can be done to see them coming and soften the blow.
The speaker will be David Cartwright, Vice Chairman of the CIISF, who is also a Senior Consultant in Information Security for Grant Thornton in the Channel Islands and a former Chairman of the Jersey branch of the British Computer Society.
