Posted: 12/09/2017

The Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities (CICRA) is holding a competition law and regulation seminar in both Guernsey and Jersey next week, to help businesses and consumer groups learn more about the impact of competition law.

The seminar will be held from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at the Old Government House Hotel in Guernsey on Monday 18 September and at The Grand Hotel in Jersey on 19 September.

The guest speaker will be Peter Freeman, Chairman of the UK’s Competition Appeal Tribunal and Chairman of the Regulatory Policy Institute, Oxford.

A practising lawyer, he will discuss the importance and limitations of competition law in creating a productive and efficient economy, the main areas of competition law, and the limits of competition policy.
