Chief Minister and States CEO set for IoD Mid-Year Review

Posted: 11/03/2019

The two men leading public sector reform in Jersey, Chief Minister Senator John Le Fondre and Chief Executive Charlie Parker, will speak at the IoD Mid-Year Review this month.

The breakfast event will take place at The Royal Yacht hotel on Wednesday 20 March and is open to IoD members and non-members.

The event aims to hold ministers to account and ensure debate. At last year’s Mid-Term Review, Charlie Parker was joined by Senator Ian Gorst and they set out a vision of partnership, modernisation and setting a new Jersey standard. These goals and any progress made will be scrutinised at the 2019 Review. Questions for the panel can be submitted in advance at jedirector@localdial.com

The 2019 IoD Mid-Year Review will be hosted by IoD Jersey Chairman Chris Clark, who said: "The IoD Mid-Year Review enables us to maintain the momentum of scrutiny and discussion on important topics. We are hosting this event just 10 days prior to Brexit, so we expect a full house and also an opportunity to ask poignant questions.

"The panellists will be challenged on the measurable benefits of reform and the sustainability of Jersey’s economic model and we will continue to press for a positive way forward that can benefit us all."

Places can be booked for the Mid-Year Review breakfast at www.iod.je/events
