The Channel Islands group of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is to hold its annual forum on 12 September, at which it will discuss purposeful profits, the value of social responsibility and the role of PR professionals.

Four off-island speakers have been confirmed for the event:

• CIPR President Emma Leech will look at the role of the communications professional and CSR in building and maintaining a positive reputation.
• Richard Donovan, Global Head of Social Innovation and UK and Ireland Head of Corporate Responsibility at Experian, will talk about the topic on a large scale.
• Advita Patel, Founder of Comms Hive and Chair of CIPR Inside, will focus on what CSR means for employees and how to overcome internal apathy.
