Accountancy firm Carter Backer Winter (CBW), based in the City of London, has formed a partnership with Guernsey-based accountant Chandler Backer & Co to create CBW Guernsey.
The joint venture will provide islanders with a range of services, including advice on business start-ups and sales strategies, business growth, investments, overseas expansion, tax planning and regulatory compliance.
Chandler Backer has moved to new premises in St Peter Port and will operate as CBW Guernsey under the directorship of Martin Mahe (pictured), the former sole Partner at Chandler Backer.
Stuart Place, formerly the Chairman of the Guernsey Investment Managers and Stockbrokers Association, also joins the team.
John Dickinson, Partner at CBW, welcomed the move, adding: “With this tie-up, CBW has gone right back to its roots – Tommy Backer, one of the founding Partners of Chandler Backer, was a co-founding Partner of Carter Backer Winter.”
