Jersey-based cloud solutions provider Calligo has been selected to be part of the UK government’s G Cloud 9 Framework – a procurement platform designed to help public sector organisations seek guidance on cloud solutions, find accredited suppliers and create contracts digitally.
Calligo joins a list of accredited suppliers under the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Cloud Support Services categories.
As a government-accredited supplier, it will be able to offer public sector bodies a range of cloud-based solutions covering aspects of infrastructure, applications, communications and on-boarding services, all of which are covered by ISO standards.
A key focus of Calligo’s work has been on delivering the data privacy levels demanded by the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Julian Box, CEO of Calligo, said: “The new regulation fundamentally changes how organisations need to operate, and this includes a significant impact on cloud computing. We are well placed to help government organisations meet these obligations.”
