Jersey-based cloud services provider Calligo has purchased the IT services division of Fusion Systems, which operates from Guernsey.
Calligo says the deal will give it a stronger presence in Guernsey, building on its cloud infrastructure in the island.
All existing Fusion IT Services contracts will continue under the agreement. Its IT services clients will receive support from local staff as usual, while gaining access to Calligo’s global cloud services.
Fusion’s fintech software division, which develops and supports software for the offshore financial services industry under the Flyingboat brand, is not part of the acquisition and will continue to be run by Fusion's remaining team, led by Alan Rowe.
Julian Box, Calligo’s Chief Executive Officer, added: “With the backing of our investor, Investcorp Technology Partners, we are looking to execute further strategic add-on acquisitions over the coming weeks and months as we continue to expand our global footprint.”
