C5 Alliance makes three senior appointments

C5_Ying Wang, James Russell, David ScottC5 Alliance, part of BDO Jersey, has announced three appointments.

James Russell has become a Principal Cloud Solutions Architect; Ying Wang has joined the C5 Application Development Team as a Senior Consultant; and David Scott has been named Team Leader of the data and artificial intelligence practice. 

James joined C5's Jersey Technical Solutions team in early 2015. He has been working with Channel Islands and international clients for more than 10 years in a variety of areas, using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Citrix, VMWare and HPE Storage.

In his new role, James will work with clients to design and implement the latest in cloud and on-premise infrastructure solutions. He will also support C5’s on-island cloud solution, Island Cloud. 

Ying brings to the firm more than 20 years’ experience in IT, working in Canada, Asia, the US, London and Europe. A qualified computer engineer, she holds multiple Microsoft certifications, including Azure Developer Associate.

Before joining C5, she served as a technical lead at software consultancy ThoughtWorks in North America and the UK.

David has been an Associate Consultant for C5 for more than three years and has 25 years’ experience in data and management information. He is also the co-founder of growers app GardenTags, as well as CookieScan.com, which ensures website cookie disclosures are GDPR-compliant. 

David joins C5 to manage and lead the data and AI team, transitioning C5’s operations from on-premise expertise to cloud and Azure.
