Butterfield makes three appointments

Helen Shoreson, Chris Carter and Giorgina ListerFollowing its agreement to acquire Deutsche Bank’s banking and custody business in Jersey, Butterfield has made three new appointments to the team. 

Helen Shoreson has been named Vice President, Human Resources, Chris Carter has become Chief Financial Officer, and Giorgina Lister has been appointed Marketing Manager. 

Helen has more than 20 years’ HR experience working within Deutsche Bank, latterly as HR Country Head, Channel Islands, and she joins Butterfield as part of the acquisition. 

In her new role, she will have overall responsibility for HR in several Butterfield jurisdictions, including Jersey, Guernsey, Switzerland, London and Mauritius.

Chris also previously worked at Deutsche Bank for 12 years. In his new role, he will be responsible for the Jersey finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting to the group and its regulators. He will also form part of the local senior management team. 

Giorgina, who has more than 10 years’ experience in marketing within financial services, will be responsible for raising awareness of the Butterfield brand in Jersey through sponsorships and event opportunities.

She joins from telecoms group Sure International, where she spent four and a half years as Marketing Manager, Digital Channels.
