Ardent Chambers has expanded its team of litigators with the addition of Jersey Advocate Michael Cushing.
Michael brings to the firm 30 years’ experience of complex commercial, corporate and trust litigation and advisory work in Jersey and the UK.
He joins Ardent after 16 years in the Jersey office of Appleby, where he has served as Managing Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution.
Having advised on a broad range of commercial and trust matters locally, Michael has extensive knowledge of and experience before the Jersey courts.
His practice includes regulatory investigations, contentious insolvency, corporate restructuring and asset recovery.
Michael is also qualified as an English Solicitor, having previously been a Partner in the London office of international law firm Dechert, focusing on commercial litigation and regulatory investigations.
Michael regularly works on contentious and advisory matters on behalf of offshore fiduciary services firms, banks and commercial clients. He also receives instructions from international law firms to advise on matters of Jersey law.
