Appleby promotes three in Channel Islands

Jared Dann ApplebyOffshore law firm Appleby has promoted three lawyers to the position of Counsel in the Channel Islands. This is part of a company-wide series of promotions in recent months, which has seen 17 individuals become Partner or Counsel across a range of jurisdictions.

Appleby’s new appointments are effective 1 January 2016 and include individuals from both Corporate and Dispute Resolution practice areas.

Jared Dann (pictured) is a Jersey advocate and member of the Dispute Resolution group in the Jersey office. He is a commercial litigator who advises on a range of commercial disputes. He specialises particularly in trust disputes and in matters involving fraud and asset tracing.

Richard Sheldon leads the employment practice across the Channel Islands, and has significant experience in advising on matters such as executive severance, redundancies, restrictive covenants and bonus disputes. Richard is actively involved with in the introduction of new employment legislation in 2016 through his role as policy advisor on the Guernsey CIPD committee.

Chet Pohl practices in all areas of corporate law with expertise in banking and finance, mining, energy and resource projects, funds and M&A. Chet is the President of the Guernsey International Legal Association.
